Dressage saddles have a straighter flap, higher pommel, and deeper seat than a jumping saddle. This design allows for a longer, straighter leg position for advanced flatwork.
Traditionally, dressage saddles are made with black leather, but modern styles allow for more variety. Contrast stitching and welting, Swarovski crystals or patent leather detailing, and leather in colors like brown or even navy are becoming common in dressage saddle designs.
