Returns & Exchanges

We hope you will be satisfied with your purchase, but if you need to return or exchange your item for any reason please see our return & exchange policy below.

Returns 

  • Returns are accepted within 10 business days of receiving the item
  • The return must be pre-authorized by one of our agents. We’ll send you a return/exchange form and optional shipping label. The item must be shipped back within 10 business days of receiving the form. 
  • Buyer is responsible for all shipping charges. Shipping charges are not refunded.
  • Returned items may be subject to a 15% restocking fee. DBS may decline a return if the item is damaged or dirty, shows excessive use or mis-use, or is otherwise not in a condition to be resold or unacceptable for return. 
  • Refunds will be returned to the original payment method within 15 days of receipt of the returned item. 
  • Saddles on consignment and consignment items are NOT eligible for return or exchange.

Exchanges

  • Exchanges are accepted within 10 business days of receiving the item.
  • Exchanges must be pre-authorized by one of our agents. We’ll send you a return/exchange form and (optional) shipping label. The item must be shipped back within 10 business days of receiving the form.
  • Buyer is responsible for all shipping charges.
  • Exchanged items may be subject to a 15% restocking fee. DBS may decline an exchange if the item is damaged or dirty, shows excessive use or mis-use, or is otherwise not in a condition to be resold or unacceptable for return. 
  • Used and consignment saddles are NOT eligible for return or exchange.

Non-Returnable Items

  • Saddles: all used and consignment saddle sales are final.
  • Consignment tack
  • Bits
  • Special orders, customized or personalized items
  • Opened containers (e.g. tack cleaners)
  • Dirty or damaged items
  • All services are non-refundable

Incorrect or Damaged Items

If you receive an incorrect item in your order, please notify us right away. If your item is damaged, please contact the shipping carrier directly. 

New and Demo Saddles

We offer 5-day trials for new and demo saddles. Please take a moment to view our new & demo saddle trial policy before purchase!

Returns

  • Returns for new and demo saddles are accepted within 10 business days of delivery
  • Saddle returns must be pre-authorized by one of our agents. We’ll send you a return/exchange form and (optional) shipping label. The item must be shipped back within 10 business days of receiving the form.
  • Buyer is responsible for all shipping charges. Shipping charges are non-refundable.
  • All returned saddles are subject to a 25% restocking fee. DBS may decline a return if the saddle is damaged or dirty, shows excessive use or mis-use, or is otherwise not in a condition to be resold or unacceptable for return. 
  • Return refunds will be issued to the original payment method used within 30 business days of Dutchess Bridle & Saddle receiving the returned saddle(s).

Exchanges

  • Exchanges are accepted within 10 business days of receiving the saddle.

  • Saddle exchanges must be pre-authorized by one of our agents. We’ll send you a return/exchange form and (optional) shipping label. The item must be shipped back within 10 business days of receiving the form.

  • Buyer is responsible for all shipping charges. Shipping charges are not refunded.  An exchange made for an item of a greater or lesser value will be refunded the difference.

  • Exchanged saddles are subject to a 25% re-stocking fee. Dutchess Bridle & Saddle may decline a return or exchange if the item is, but not limited to, damaged, dirty, shows excessive use, mis-use or is not in a condition to be sold.

Return/Exchange Procedure

  1. Contact us by phone at 973-552-9546 or email at [email protected].
  2. We’ll send you a return form to complete and include with your item.
  3. Select your shipping method. We suggest using ground service with UPS, USPS, or FedEX. Include tracking information and insurance with your return. Please use [email protected] for tracking, attn: Jackie Tassey. If you prefer a label sent to you, we will reduce your return by the total cost of shipping.

Packing Guidelines

The return item must be accompanied with:

  • original packaging and tags
  • original receipt
  • return form
  • careful wrapping and sufficient filler in the box.
